The Saudi Water Authority and the General Authority for State Real Estate have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at strengthening institutional integration between them in the areas of real estate registration and land allocation for water sector infrastructure projects, as well as the exchange of geospatial data and information, thereby contributing to the optimal use of national resources and improving the efficiency of government project implementation.
The memorandum provides for the development of cooperation in the registration of real estate belonging to the Saudi Water Authority, the exchange of expertise and real estate data, and the development of joint technical models and solutions, as well as coordination in land allocation for future water projects, such as desalination systems, treatment plants, and distribution networks, thereby supporting planning, operation, and maintenance processes in the water sector.
The memorandum includes cooperation between the two entities in the exchange and updating of geospatial information and real estate assets, with detailed agreements to be concluded in the future to implement areas of joint cooperation between them.
This step is part of the Saudi Water Authority’s efforts to develop integrated mechanisms for the efficient and sustainable management of water assets and projects, and to strengthen institutional partnerships with national entities, in line with its objectives of empowering the water sector and developing its infrastructure in accordance with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
