His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, begins an official visit to the Swiss Confederation today, Tuesday, in a move aimed at strengthening the partnership between the two countries in vital areas that support the major urban transformation taking place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This visit comes at a time when the Kingdom is placing sustainability and innovation at the heart of its major development projects, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030; The visit aims to draw on Swiss experience and expertise in advanced construction technologies, sustainable housing, and urban development, thereby contributing to the development of innovative residential and urban models that meet the aspirations of the future.

Discussions between the Minister of Municipalities and Housing and his Swiss counterparts, as well as representatives of the private sector, will focus on adopting the latest technologies in the fields of smart construction, prefabricated construction, and digital transformation; this is aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the Saudi construction sector, reducing the environmental impact of projects, and supporting the quality of housing products.

The visit is part of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing’s strategy to localize cutting-edge technologies and build effective international partnerships, with the aim of developing a housing and construction system based on innovation and sustainability, and to strengthen the Kingdom’s presence as an influential force in the future of global urban development.
