His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, yesterday inspected a number of development and service projects NajranHe stressed that the municipal and housing work in the region is witnessing continuous development, and the projects being implemented aim to enhance the quality of life and raise the efficiency of services, reflecting positively on the residents and visitors of Najran, with the keenness of the municipalities and housing system to follow up on the field and overcome challenges to ensure a tangible developmental impact.
His Excellency met with Municipality Secretary Saleh Al-Ghamdi and a number of leaders to discuss the latest developments of service projects and review initiatives aimed at raising the efficiency of services and improving the urban landscape.
Al-Haqeel then toured a number of projects, including the King Abdullah Road Development and Rehabilitation Project, looking at the stages of work and completion rates, following up on mechanisms to address implementation challenges and accelerate the pace of work to achieve a direct impact on the quality of life of the people, and inspecting the services and facilities in King Fahd Park, praising the development models that contribute to enhancing the lifestyle in the region.
The tour included a visit to the Najrani Raksh Festival in the historic Emirate Palace Square, where His Excellency was briefed on the events and programs that highlight the local heritage and promote cultural identity, in addition to visiting the Abu Al Saud neighborhood and viewing its development stages as one of the historical neighborhoods in the region, as well as visiting the design studio, and was briefed on its role in employing elements of the Najrani urban identity in residential, commercial and villa projects, and reviewed its most prominent achievements and design outputs.
The Minister of Municipalities and Housing met with a number of investors and entrepreneurs at the Events and Conferences Center in Bir Askar Municipality to discuss promising investment opportunities and ways to enable the private sector to contribute to urban and service development, opening new paths for the private sector and enhancing its participation in development and developing the investment environment.
He witnessed the signing of community participation contracts with a number of businessmen, in support of the partnership between the municipal and private sectors, and to enhance the role of the community in developing cities and improving the quality of life.
His Excellency concluded his tour by visiting the University Road and the Najran Waterfront Investment Project, familiarizing himself with the stages of completion and the ongoing development of the projects, which contribute to upgrading the urban landscape and supporting the objectives of comprehensive development.
For his part, the Secretary of Najran confirmed that the visit of the Minister of Municipalities and Housing reflects the support of the development process and urban transformation in the region, and the review of quality projects that are in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, in light of the great support of the wise leadership, which meets the needs of the population and enhances the path of urban and urban growth.
