Minister of Justice announces the formation of a committee to legalize the procedures for buying, selling and transferring endowments

The Minister of Justice and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Sheikh Dr. Walid Al-Samaani, announced the formation of a committee to legalize the procedures of selling, buying, transferring and replacing endowments and engineering their procedures, in coordination with the Saudi Residents Authority of the Ministry of Commerce.

This came during the participation of the Ministry of Justice in the work of the Third Awqaf Forum organized by the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry and hosted by the Intercontinental Hotel during the period between February 15, 2016. The Ministry's initiative comes in order to accelerate the process of selling, buying, replacing and utilizing endowments and benefiting the endowments and their beneficiaries,“ and the initiative is likely to be completed within three months.

Issam bin Hamad Al Mubarak, Secretary General of the Saudi Commission for Certified Valuers, stressed that the Commission was established to regulate and develop the valuation profession and qualify valuers who work according to the best international standards, stressing the importance of valuation in regulating the market and developing the profession in the framework of preserving the rights of all.
