The Authority also received 1,871 real estate complaints through its various channels, all of which were addressed and resolved.

The number of electronic surveys conducted by teams from General Real Estate Authority exceeded 24,261. The campaigns resulted in the detection of a number of violations, including:

  • Failure to exercise due diligence in verifying the accuracy of information obtained from the property owner or beneficial owner.
  • Failure to state the licensee’s name or license number in property-related advertisements.

The Authority urged all real estate brokers and service providers to comply with the rules and provisions of the Real Estate Brokerage Regulation to avoid financial penalties of up to 200,000 riyals in certain cases, and urged citizens and residents to file reports in the event of suspected real estate violations or fraud.
