SGF is participating in the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30), to be held in Belém, Brazil, from November 10-21, 2025. The Forum's attendance comes as an extension of its pioneering role as a national institution with consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and accredited to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), emphasizing the position of Saudi experts and national best practices emanating from the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in supporting global efforts towards sustainability and green transformation.

The Forum's participation will focus on Saudi Arabia's role in the UN Climate Change Conference (COP30), to be held in Belém, Brazil, from November 10-21, 2525. <This year, the Forum will focus on introducing the principle of “sufficiency before efficiency” in climate policies, a principle that calls for reducing the demand for resources at the source before focusing on improving efficiency, thus promoting climate justice and achieving a balance between economic development and environmental protection. “Sufficiency does not mean limiting development, but rather achieving a balance between human needs and the planet's ability to provide resources, ensuring social justice and environmental protection at the same time.”

Faisal Al-Fadl, Secretary General of the Forum, explained that this approach represents a qualitative shift in the idea of sustainable construction, saying: "Sufficiency does not mean limiting development, but rather achieving a balance between human needs and the planet's ability to provide resources, ensuring social justice and environmental protection at the same time.
