The Qatif Investment Forum kicked off in its new edition, held in the Eastern Province under the slogan "Qatif.
Infrastructure projects in the Eastern Province
Acting Secretary of the Eastern Province Eng. Mazen Bakhraji emphasized that the Eastern Province Municipality has worked to support infrastructure projects in all regions, including Qatif Governorate, which has now become a promising investment environment, and noted the signing of investment contracts worth two billion riyals, with a focus on improving infrastructure in preparation for the World Cup.

Mazen Bakhraji During the first session, moderated by Engineer Nabih Al Barahim, future plans to stimulate investment in Tarut Island were discussed, as well as digital transformation in the province. Engineer Nasser Mohammed Al Nasser from the Ministry of Communications pointed out the efforts made to prepare the region to be a vital center for technological investments, noting huge investments from companies such as Google and Microsoft in the Eastern Province.
An advisor to the Deputy Vice President of the Eastern Province discussed the promising investment plans, noting that investment contracts worth 2 billion riyals have been signed. <The advisor to the Deputy Minister of Sports, Engineer Nayef Al-Dosari, discussed the importance of investing in sports and ways to promote this sector to be part of the national economy by 2030. He stated that more than 4,000 male and female players from Qatif are registered with the Ministry of Sports, which highlights the region's ability to attract sports investments.
Engineer Ibrahim Ibrahim revealed the importance of investing in sports in the Eastern Province. <For his part, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Zahrani revealed investment opportunities in the fish sector on the coasts of Qatif, noting the opening of the first fish hatchery in the Middle East in Ras Abu Ali, which will boost the production of popular fish such as grouper and squid. <In the third session, a number of experts reviewed successful projects and experiences that contributed to boosting investment in Qatif, emphasizing that the region represents a fertile environment for new projects, especially in the tourism, digital economy and sports sectors. The forum also witnessed two workshops that addressed the role of women in investment fields and how to use artificial intelligence in entrepreneurship to drive innovation and economic growth.
