In the presence of representatives from major companies, the Saudi Authority for Certified Valuers “Taqeem” held a workshop last week to discuss the final executive regulations for the Economic Facilities Assessment Branch, the final version of which is scheduled to be approved at the Board of Directors meeting at the end of March.
During the workshop, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers, Engineer Sultan Al-Jreis, reviewed the executive regulations for the Economic Facilities Valuation Branch, covering all provisions related to the classification of valuers as full members, or associate members, student members, or honorary members, the requirements for obtaining such membership, the standards and general ethics to be followed during the valuation process, how to practice the profession and the licensing conditions, the services provided by the Authority in this regard, and the obligations of economic entity appraisers, touching on the accreditation hierarchy, the required hours of experience, and the curriculum required for each level of the accreditation ladder.
Al-Jreis also referred to training programs related to the valuation of economic entities, namely the “Standards and Ethics of the Valuation Profession” course, the “Introductory Course for Economic Entity Valuers” (IIBV 101), International Cost of Capital (IIBV 102), Business Valuation Case Studies (IIBV 103), Advanced Topics in Business Valuation (IIBV 104 or ASA 204), and Valuation of Intangible Assets and Other Advanced Topics (IIBV 301).
