The Jeddah Provincial Secretariat has announced that the Comprehensive Land Acquisition System can be used as a reference for land valuation criteria at the provincial level, as the system can handle all procedures related to expropriation transactions, starting with analyzing and studying the geographical location of the project site, through the identification of properties located within the project’s geographic area, and ending with the completion of all expropriation procedures for citizens and the facilitation of their transactions.

This announcement was made during the launch of the system, which is considered one of the most advanced electronic systems in the field of geographic information systems. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Hani Aburas, Secretary of Jeddah Province, and Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Harthi, Deputy Secretary for Urban Development. On this occasion, Dr. Al-Harthi explained that the comprehensive land acquisition system was developed as part of the shift toward e-services to streamline procedures and provide the best services to beneficiaries.

Al-Harthi noted that the system was designed to keep pace with the expansion of existing and future development and urban projects, to ensure that the Secretariat provides services to citizens affected by these projects by raising the quality of services through the automation of all transaction procedures in accordance with high professional standards.

Regarding the system’s advantages, Al-Harthi revealed that it streamlines procedures between the relevant departments at the Projects Agency, the Reconstruction Agency, the Provincial Municipalities Agency, the Support Services Agency, and other related departments and engineering offices, He also established links with various relevant government agencies, such as the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Commerce, and issued a letter addressed to both the Notary Public Office and the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs.
