The total value of loans disbursed last year to citizens of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi reached 3.7 billion dirhams for the purpose of building, maintaining, or rebuilding homes for citizens, or completing additions to existing homes, Saif Badr Al Qubaisi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, explained this. Al Qubaisi noted that the Authority is working to provide various types of loans with the aim of giving all citizens the opportunity to benefit from the available loans to secure suitable housing, and that the Authority is working closely with all its partners to realize the wise leadership’s vision of providing a dignified life and a stable family future for the citizens of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The loans included 1,807 loans in Abu Dhabi City, 570 loans in Al Ain, and 25 in the Western Region, in accordance with the Authority’s established procedures. In addition, advanced electronic and smart mechanisms were provided to make it easier for citizens to apply for loans, as well as electronic integration with more than 16 government agencies and the provision of approximately 60 housing designs for citizens to choose from under the “Baiti” initiative.
