To accelerate the creation of housing units with high specifications, the Minister of Housing, Mr. Majid Al-Hogail, signed last week in the South Korean capital Seoul a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation in the field of housing with the Korean Ministry of Land, Transport and Infrastructure in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to speed up the creation of housing units in short times.

The Ministry of Housing said in a statement: "This memorandum aims to establish joint cooperation in the field of housing, create channels for the exchange of administrative and technical expertise, and create appropriate means for the participation of entities and companies belonging to either party in the implementation of housing and infrastructure projects in the other party."
This visit by a delegation from the Ministry of Housing headed by the Minister of Housing to the Republic of South Korea comes to learn about the pioneering Korean experience in the field of housing and discuss ways of partnership and cooperation with this friendly country.
The agreement included multiple areas of cooperation, most notably the exchange of experiences, information and knowledge regarding housing development and management, implementation of housing projects, development of construction methods and techniques adopted in the two countries, benefiting from successful experiences in the implementation of housing policies in the two countries, in addition to benefiting from the great experiences of Korean housing companies.
The agreement includes several areas of cooperation.
The memorandum also stipulated encouraging companies in the two countries to participate in the implementation of housing projects for all segments of society, encouraging joint initiatives in design and construction in the field of housing, cooperation in the field of engineering laboratories for construction, housing finance and welfare that provides citizens with competitive housing environments, and emphasized the field of designing and implementing infrastructure for housing projects.
The memorandum also emphasized the field of infrastructure design for housing projects and their implementation. The memorandum includes organizing joint seminars and workshops that discuss issues related to the areas of cooperation, encouraging visits between specialists between the two countries, participating in training courses, conferences, seminars and workshops related to the areas of housing cooperation and encouraging research related to this field, creating a competitive and creative practical and scientific environment.
