The number of people enrolled in the free training programs on mobile device maintenance and sales offered by the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training to 33,000 Saudi men and women in recent days, as the Authority began accepting online registration applications through its website , which allows individuals to register for training courses designed to promote the localization of mobile device maintenance and sales stores.
The Foundation’s official spokesperson, Fahd bin Manahi Al-Otaibi, revealed that the registration website has seen a huge turnout since the announcement the start of registration on Sunday, 4/5/1436 AH. The number of registrants for the training programs reached 33,121, including both men and women, with the advanced mobile phone maintenance course receiving the highest number of registration requests, followed by sales management, customer service, and the basics of mobile phone manufacturing, respectively. This confirms that the telecommunications sector and its related fields are among the most attractive areas for training and employment among young men and women.
Al-Otaibi explained that the foundation has finalized the criteria and conditions for enrollment in the free programs supported by the Human Resources Development Fund «Hadaf,» which stipulate that applicants must be Saudi nationals, at least 18 years of age, and not currently employed in the private or public sector, These training courses will prepare Saudi professionals to work in the telecommunications sector, which is expected to provide 20,000 job opportunities by the end of the deadline set by the Ministry of Labor for the localization of the sector.
