The Project : Construction of 100,000 housing units.

Location : Riyadh New Residential City – south of the National Festival of Heritage and Culture “Al-Janadriyah”

Contractors: Two Korean companies (Daewoo and Hanwha) and the Saudi company Sabk, which operates nationwide.

Allocated Budget : 20 billion riyals.

With this step, the Ministry of Housing is taking steady and balanced steps toward securing suitable and adequate housing for the residents of Riyadh, which requires at least 25,000 housing units each year, and the Ministry is drawing on South Korea’s extensive experience in this field.

The Ministry of Housing has designated the new residential city located south of the National Festival of Heritage and Culture «Al-Janadriyah,» to provide 100,000 housing units—enough to meet Riyadh’s needs for nearly four years—as the first government project to localize foreign expertise in housing.
