Saudi Arabia's imports of trucks transporting ready-mix concrete during the past five years reflect the state of accelerated activity in the contracting and construction sectors, driven by the growing pace of implementation of major development projects in various regions of the Kingdom. The value of these imports exceeded SAR 940 million, a clear indication of the expanding demand for specialized transportation solutions associated with the construction industry.
According to data from the General Authority for Statistics, the Kingdom imported about 228 trucks in 2025, compared to 167 trucks in 2024, confirming the continued growth in demand for this type of vehicle, in parallel with the expansion of supply chains in the construction sector and the acceleration of project implementation.

Imports peak as major projects take off
Imports of concrete transport trucks peaked during 2021 and 2022, with a total of 754 trucks, coinciding with the acceleration of the launch and implementation of projects associated with the "Saudi Vision 2030" programs, which redraw the map of urban development and infrastructure in the Kingdom, and data shows that Saudi Arabia's imports of these trucks were mainly focused on European and Asian markets, with German trucks topping the scene with a share of 1011 trucks, equivalent to about 73.5% of total imports, capitalizing on their reputation for quality and operational efficiency.
In second place, Chinese trucks came second with a total of 300 trucks, accounting for approximately 21.8% of imports, supported by competitive price factors and variety of options, while Italian trucks recorded a limited presence of 26 trucks, accounting for approximately 1.9% of the total.
