The Ministry of Housing announced via The Sustainable Construction Platform has announced the estimated fees for the prefabricated building inspection service, which verifies construction quality and safety. It clarified that the fee for residential apartments is 720 riyals, while the fee for residential villas varies depending on the total floor area, specifying that if the area is less than 1,500 square meters, the fee is 1,680 riyals, and if it exceeds 1,500 square meters, the fee is 1.2 riyals per square meter.

The Ministry noted via the Sustainable Construction Platform that the announced fees do not include value-added tax. It should be noted that the Ministry of Housing’s Sustainable Construction Platform recently launched a prefabricated building inspection service, which aims to verify the apparent quality of the residential unit, through an inspection mechanism approved by certified engineers to assess the condition of prefabricated buildings; based on this inspection, a “report” on the condition of the residential unit is issued.

Engineer Mazen bin Mohammed Al-Dawood, General Supervisor of Real Estate Regulation at the Ministry of Housing, explained that the Sustainable Construction Platform makes it easy and convenient to request an inspector electronically, It also provides each user with an electronic archive where they can store all their reports. He noted that the service offers added value to various groups of beneficiaries, including:

Helping homebuyers make informed decisions by verifying the quality of the residential unit they intend to purchase.

Enabling financial institutions to assess the condition of the building they will be financing.
