The number of non-Saudi contracting companies registered as members of the Saudi Contractors Authority continued to rise, reaching 220 foreign establishments with about 17.29 thousand Saudi employees, while the number of non-Saudi workers amounted to about 99.39 thousand workers, according to Osama Al-Afaleq, head of the authority, who explained that the number of non-Saudi contracting establishments that registered as members of the authority during the first quarter of this year reached 55 contracting establishments, compared to 37 establishments last year.The number of establishments in the past year was 37 establishments.

<The pace of registration continued to escalate until the Authority was able to reach 3073 registered members by the end of the first quarter of 2019, including 375 micro enterprises with a total of 228 Saudi employees and 577 non-Saudi employees. The attractiveness of the sector to national and foreign investors
This demand for registration comes as a result of the great work carried out by the Saudi Contractors Authority to improve the contracting sector and to incentivize contractors who organize its membership with many advantages to make the sector more attractive to the national and foreign investor and maintain the quality of the Saudi market and achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
Al-Afaleq pointed out that the increase in the number of contracting companies is the result of the great work carried out by the Saudi Contractors Authority to improve the contracting sector.
Al-Afaleq pointed out that the employment of Saudi youth in the sector, localization, elimination of cover-ups and others come as the most prominent tasks and challenges that the Authority seeks to overcome during the coming period.
He pointed out that the statistics of the Saudi Contractors Authority indicated that the number of micro enterprises with five employees and less registered in the membership during the first quarter of this year amounted to 135 contracting enterprises employing about 53 Saudi employees and 162 non-Saudi employees, while the number of enterprises registered in the same period in the previous year was only 20 enterprises.
Statistics of small business employees
Small enterprises with between six and 49 employees that registered in the membership of the Saudi Contractors Authority amounted to 291 contracting enterprises, with 739 Saudi employees and nearly 4,000 non-Saudi employees, compared to 159 contracting enterprises in the first quarter of 2018 with 734 Saudi employees and 3,476 non-Saudi employees.
The number of small enterprises with between six and 49 employees that registered in the same period in the previous year was only 20 enterprises.
Statistics of employees of medium-sized companies
The number of medium enterprises with between 50 and 249 employees registered in the Authority's membership during the first quarter of this year amounted to 145 contracting enterprises, while the number of enterprises that registered in the Authority in the first quarter of last year was 146, and the number of Saudi employees in this category is 1794 Saudi employees whose enterprises registered in the Authority's membership, while the number of non-Saudis reached about 10.46 thousand employees, and the number of Saudi employees in the first quarter of the previous year was 2755 employees and 16.47 thousand employees.Afaliq continued.

Al-Afaleq stated that large enterprises with more than 250 workers, of which 61 enterprises registered in the membership of the Authority during the first quarter, employing approximately 13.30 thousand Saudi employees compared to 61.76 thousand non-Saudi workers, while the number of registered last year in the same quarter reached 166 contracting enterprises employing 43.83 thousand Saudi employees, as the largest number of Saudi employees whose enterprises registered in the membership of the Authority during a quarter.The number of contracting enterprises registered last year in the same quarter.
