More than 20 countries Saudi Energy Expo is the largest gathering of energy companies in the Middle East

Every year, the capital city of Riyadh hosts the Saudi Energy Exhibition, which highlights the electricity, solar energy, and lighting sectors. The Kingdom is considered a global hub for electricity production and ranks first in the Middle East and North Africa.

Organized by Riyadh Exhibitions Company Limited, the exhibition showcases the fundamentals of the energy sector and addresses a number of related topics, including the structuring of energy supplies, energy policy, and technical issues such as high-efficiency power generation, the operation of power plants, the latest renewable energy technologies, waste management, and recycling. It also showcases the latest environmental technology products and innovative techniques.

The upcoming edition of the exhibition, held under the auspices of the Saudi Ministry of Water and Electricity from 4–2 Sha’ban 1437 AH (corresponding to May 9–11, 2016), an integrated platform for participating exhibitors from 20 countries around the world, including Turkey, Germany, China, Italy, Austria, France, India, Lebanon, Pakistan, Qatar, South Africa, Taiwan, the Netherlands, Dubai, England, Saudi Arabia, and others, to explore promising opportunitiesin the local and regional markets and to network with leading local players to enhance business prospects and develop avenues for mutual cooperation.

Reports indicate that over the next ten years, the required investments in the Kingdom’s electricity sector could reach 500 billion riyals. Current investments in projects are characterized by strong private-sector participation, totaling 297 billion Saudi riyals, for energy projects currently under construction. Private-sector investments are expected to grow steadily as the economy makes significant strides in light of the rapid progress in the region’s renewable energy sector.
