From the depths of history, and from the heart of the Arabian Peninsula, which has never submitted to anyone but its Creator, the dawn of the founding day broke forth to bear witness to three centuries of glory and pride. It is the story of Imam Muhammad bin Saud, who laid the first brick in Diriyah in 1727 AD, to draw with the edge of the sword and the insight of wisdom the map of a homeland that knows no defeat. Today we do not celebrate merely a memory, but we celebrate deep-rooted foundations that run deep in the earth, and a history written with the ink of glory, so that this entity may remain lofty, dear, and stable under the banner of monotheism.
This year’s celebrations come under the slogan “The Day We Began,” to embody pride in the beginnings of the first Saudi state that started from Diriyah, the capital that became a beacon of culture and science and a center of political unity in the Arabian Peninsula. On this day, Saudis remember the historic transformation led by the imams and kings, up to the prosperous era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, may God protect them.
“ Founding Day” is not limited to recalling the past, but is a moment of reflection on current achievements. While we celebrate Diriyah and its history, we see Saudi Vision 2030 continuing to build smart cities and develop vital sectors. As His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid Al-Hogail , recently pointed out, the state places “family stability and quality of life” as a top national priority, which is an extension of the approach of stability and security that the state has established since the dawn of its founding.

The founding day reminds us of the day we began and the unity of our ancestors with our wise leadership to establish this strong state, thanks be to God. What we see now of development and prosperity in various digital, sports, tourism and other fields is nothing but the fruit of the efforts of its people and its wise leadership that sought to make us among the ranks of developed countries. And here we are now enjoying security, safety, progress and prosperity with the efforts made by all sectors. We ask God Almighty to protect our leaders and the people of this dear homeland whom we see every morning contributing to the development and success of all development projects that undoubtedly aim to raise the quality of life for the citizen and resident.

Praise be to God, first and last. We congratulate the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, the architect of the Vision, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, may God protect them, on this precious occasion. As one of the sons of this proud nation, I feel pride and honor under this wise, inspiring leadership that supports all the sons of our dear homeland. We are now living in the age of digital development under a supportive and motivating leadership for all, reaping the fruits of three hundred years of struggle and diligence to build a strong state under the leadership of our rulers and the sons of this generous nation. What we are witnessing now in terms of amazing development at various levels – sports, technology, economy, and culture – is but evidence of the success we have achieved. We look forward, God willing, to a bright and wonderful future, and we ask God to bless all efforts, protect our rulers in this proud nation, and perpetuate for us glory, prosperity, security, safety, and well-being, God willing.

We ask God Almighty to protect the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Crown Prince, the trustworthy Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, and to perpetuate glory and pride for this nation. What we are witnessing now of this strong international presence of the Kingdom in all international forums is nothing but proof of the efforts of our leaders, may God protect them, and the sons and daughters of the nation in leaving a mark of success and an inspiring icon of development for all the countries of the world. I say to the sons of the nation: you are the wealth that no other wealth can equal, an ambitious people from whom the nation derives its strength and determination to always be at the top.

Founding Day is a memory we cherish, a day of deep roots and rich history. It is undoubtedly a day on which we recall the beginnings of our nation and the values upon which it was founded: unity, strength, ambition, pride in the past, pride in the present, and confidence in the future, which we will build together, God willing. I say to the sons of the nation: you are the descendants of those who persevered and built, and you are the hand that today draws the features of the future with complete confidence.

I am pleased to commend the successive achievements of the state's projects at home. This is evidence of development and stability, and we thank God for all these blessings we enjoy and for this wise leadership that has made this country enjoy security and safety after God Almighty. The feelings are indescribable as we see this development on all levels, whether in transportation, technology, sports, tourism, and others. This is thanks to God and then thanks to the ambitious development projects undertaken by the wise leadership that meet the needs of citizens and residents and raise the level of quality of our daily lives. We are happy with what we see of the distinguished efforts of the sons and daughters of our dear homeland, which have contributed to the Kingdom reaching global recognition, in return for the strong support they receive from a wise leadership that seeks to develop its people in various modern sciences and technologies.

I belong to a nation led by King Salman bin Abdulaziz, whose ambitious future is being shaped by Mohammed bin Salman with a vision that inspires generations. We are the continuation of a great story, the responsibility of this era, and we will bequeath to our children a stronger and greater nation, God willing. May your glory endure, O homeland.

This year, our nation's founding day arrives with its people more determined than ever to continue their triumphant journey, a journey whose first threads were woven from the heart of the desert, leading us today to the heights of glory and sovereignty.
