The Qassim Tourism Development Council announced the launch of new initiatives and projects in the tourism sector during the Travel and Tourism Investment Forum. The Vice President of the National Tourism and Heritage Authority for Regions, Dr. Waleed Al-Humaidi, praised the new initiatives and the excellence, diversity and innovation achieved by Qassim in its participation in the forum, which attracts visitors to its pavilion.
The Secretary General of the Tourism Development Council, Director of the Authority's branch in the Qassim region, Ibrahim Al-Mashaigh, said that the initiatives and projects that were launched include a number of new hotels that will be operated during the coming period, as the growth rate of hotels in the region reaches % 100 compared to the current number due to the increase in tourism demand and the demand witnessed by the events and events in the region, which has become a major attraction, indicating that new agricultural and rural tourism projects initiatives were launched in Qassim, which are currently being developed by farmers. Where the region's farms are considered a comparative advantage for Qassim, we are working to take advantage of them in tourism development and add attractive tourist sites to the region, explaining that we have successful experiences in this field, pointing out that the electronic application initiative (Discover Qassim) has been launched, which is a guide to tourism services and sites through smart phones that help visitors to the region in planning their trip and knowing the sites and events that can be visited.
