Ejar has confirmed the continuation of rental contracts without being affected by the transfer of property ownership, within an integrated digital system that aims to simplify procedures and preserve the rights of all parties. These clarifications come within the framework of developing e-services that contribute to stabilizing the contractual relationship and minimizing disputes through organized and reliable digital solutions.

The network indicated that this service comes within its continuous efforts to enhance clarity and transparency in the real estate sector, and ensure the continuity of contractual obligations between landlord and tenant, while reducing the traditional procedures associated with updating ownership data. The tenant will receive an electronic notification through the system that enables them to accept or reject the request. If the tenant agrees, the contract will be automatically renewed at the new agreed value, while rejecting the request will stop the automatic renewal, which is considered a notice of unwillingness to renew the contract. The network confirmed that the application of the service in Riyadh is currently limited to enabling the lessor to submit a request to reduce the rental value only, in compliance with the decision to stop the annual increase in rents, reflecting the platform's compliance with the laws and regulations governing the real estate market.
