Ministry of Commerce adds new webpage to implement corporate governance standards

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) has added a new page on its website showing the level of a company's compliance in the “Business” portal, in order to implement its initiatives aimed at raising the level of disclosure and transparency and applying the best standards of corporate governance for the corporate sector.

The new page enables those interested in the business sector and those dealing with the company to know the extent of its compliance with the Companies Law by showing the status of the register and the company's filing of its financial statements and the holding of general assemblies, as well as showing whether the company has exceeded its accumulated losses of the statutory percentage of the capital and the status of the company's board session, as this service will be added to the package of electronic services currently available through the business portal http://aamal.sa

The new page is one of the elements of the strategic plan and initiatives pursued by the Ministry to remove any obstacles that may stand in the way of the growth and development of the commercial sector, and support investors by facilitating the procedures of companies by utilizing technology to serve the local economy.
