Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, represented by the Jeddah Municipality, announced the completion of the readiness of its municipal system to serve the pilgrims during the Hajj season 1447 AH, as part of its efforts to raise the efficiency of municipal services and enhance the readiness of vital sites and roads leading to Mecca, to facilitate the pilgrims“ journey and raise the efficiency of the services provided to them.
6,000 human cadres for supervisory work
The readiness included intensifying municipal and supervisory work, raising operational preparations in high-density sites, as well as preparing the vicinity of Yalamlum and Juhfa within the scope of Al-Leith and Rabigh governorates.
The ministry has mobilized more than 6,000 human cadres, and more than 700 equipment and machinery, in addition to emergency teams working around the clock to support field work and enhance response speed, ensuring the continuity of municipal services with high efficiency.
2850 compliant facilities
On the control side, Jeddah Municipality intensified its tours on food, commercial and health facilities, including restaurants, markets, commercial centers, hotels and serviced apartments; the control tours resulted in recording high compliance levels in more than 2850 facilities in accordance with municipal requirements and standards.
Digital Services Readiness
The ministry confirmed the readiness of digital services channels through the ”Baladi" application as well as the unified number 940; to ensure rapid processing and response to reports around the clock.These efforts come as part of an integrated national system to serve the pilgrims, through which the ministry completes the readiness of its municipal system announced in Makkah, the holy sites, Medina and Taif, through integrated operational and field plans aimed at raising the efficiency of municipal and health services and enhancing readiness in cities, ports, Hajj routes and vital sites related to the pilgrims' journey until they reach the holy sites, reflecting the readiness of the Kingdom to receive the pilgrims.
The ministry emphasized the readiness of the digital services channels through the "Baladi" application as well as the unified number 940 to ensure the readiness of the Kingdom to receive the guests.
