The Ministry of Tourism launched the smart housing service for pilgrims in a developmental step in conjunction with the 1447 Hajj season, as part of its efforts to enhance the efficiency of operational operations and raise the quality of services provided, to ensure the comfort of the pilgrims through advanced digital solutions based on artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT).<The service enables operators to monitor the real-time status of the arrival of pilgrims, manage their distribution to accommodations more efficiently, as well as measure operational performance through indicators of arrival time, operating time and occupancy rates, and support operations rooms in making decisions based on direct data.<Nasr Al Ansari, spokesperson for the Ministry of Tourism, explained that the Smart Accommodation service aims to raise the efficiency of the processes of receiving and housing pilgrims in real time, in addition to reducing the waiting time upon arrival at the accommodation by sharing their data in advance with housing service providers, and the service allows the verification of pilgrims" data automatically without the need for manual procedures, which enhances the accuracy of procedures and reduces human errors.
