prices of electrical cables in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia rose significantly during May 2026, ranging from 13.10% to 23.95% compared to the same period in 2025, according to the report «Prices of Construction Materials» issued by the Saudi Contractors Authority. The report indicated that the price of 10-mm-diameter electrical cables rose to 26.16 riyals per meter in May 2026, compared to 21.54 riyals in May 2025, representing an increase of 21.45%. Similarly, the price of 25-mm cables rose to 54.17 riyals per meter from 47.85 riyals, an increase of 21.57%.
In the same category, the price of 35 mm cables rose to 77.22 riyals per meter from 62.30 riyals, a growth rate of 23.95%, while the price of 50 mm cables reached approximately 108.08 riyals, up from 87.79 riyals, an increase of 23.11%. Similarly, 70 mm cables rose to 157.42 riyals per meter from 127.73 riyals, a 23.24% increase, while 95 mm cables rose to 209.60 riyals from 173.22 riyals, an increase of 21%.
The price of 120 mm cables rose to 251.85 riyals per meter compared to 216.23 riyals, an increase of 16.47%, while the price of 300 mm cables reached approximately 637.80 riyals, up from 530.57 riyals, an increase of 20.21%. The price of Chinese rebar ties also rose to 54.31 riyals from 48.02 riyals during the same period, an increase of 13.10%.
On a monthly basis, the report indicated that prices for electrical cables rose during May 2026 by percentages ranging from 0.47% to 7.18% compared to April of the same year.
The report indicated that the price of 10-mm cables rose to 26.16 riyals per meter, compared to 25.76 riyals in April, an increase of 1.55%. Similarly, 25 mm cables were priced at 54.17 riyals, compared to 57.19 riyals, representing a 1.71% increase. The price of 35 mm cables rose to 77.22 riyals from 75.74 riyals, an increase of 1.95%, while the price of 50-mm cables reached 108.08 riyals, up from 106.48 riyals, an increase of 1.50%.
The price of 70 mm cables also rose to 157.42 riyals from 156.13 riyals, an increase of 0.83%, and 95 mm cables rose to 209.60 riyals from 205.01 riyals, an increase of 2.24%. 120 mm cables recorded a slight increase to 251.85 riyals from 250.68 riyals, a rise of 0.47%, while 300 mm cables reached 637.80 riyals compared to 621.08 riyals, an increase of 2.69%.
In contrast, the price of Chinese rebar ties rose to 54.31 riyals, compared to 50.67 riyals in April, an increase of 7.18%.
