Yesterday marked the start of the physical registration of real estate for (509) parcels in (7) neighborhoods in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region and the Jeddah Governorate, and registration will continue until the end of Thursday, October 29.
Names of neighborhoods benefiting from the real estate registry
The the General Real Estate Authority that the neighborhoods benefiting from the real estate registry at this stage in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region include the following: (part of the Taybah neighborhood, part of the Uhud neighborhood, part of the Al-Maqam neighborhood, and part of the Al-Safa neighborhood). Registration will begin in the following neighborhoods in the Jeddah Governorate:(part of Al-Rawda neighborhood and part of Al-Sina’iya neighborhood). The Authority clarified that the neighborhoods were selected based on specific criteria, and announcements regarding the remaining regions, governorates, and neighborhoods that will undergo real estate registration in various parts of the Kingdom will be made in due course.
The Real Estate Authority noted that the initial registration of properties in these regions and neighborhoods will be available through the electronic real estate registry platform https://rer.sa, or through service centers, noting that physical registration requires a title deed that meets the regulatory requirements to complete the registration process.
The Authority called on property owners in the regions and neighborhoods subject to physical registration to verify their title deeds and ensure they meet the necessary requirements in preparation for the start of registration, adding that failure to register properties within the period specified in the announcement exposes owners tofinancial penalties stipulated in the Real Property Registration System, as determined by a committee authorized to review violations. Inquiries regarding the registration process may be made through the Authority’s official platforms or by calling the Customer Service Center at 199002.
Starting from the specified date for the commencement of registration, a a ”Property Number” and a title deed for each registered real estate unit. The title deed will include the property’s details, descriptions, condition, and associated rights and obligations linked to precise geospatial information, thereby contributing to the strengthening of infrastructure and the sustainability of the real estate sector. The real estate registration system aims to enhance real estate reliability and promote transparency in the real estate sector.

The Real Estate Authority is accepting in-person registrations for 509 plots in 7 neighborhoods in Mecca and Jeddah through October 29 via its online platform and service centers.
