His Excellency Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipalities and Housing and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Real Estate Authority, welcomed the Cabinet’s approval to transfer the digital and operational services related to real estate documentation from the Ministry of Justice to the General Real Estate Authority, emphasizing that the decision represents a significant step that enhances the integration of the real estate system, unifies digital services, and improves service efficiency and the reliability of transactions, thereby supporting the growth of real estate sector and its sustainability.
Enhancing the Integration of the Real Estate System
His Excellency explained that the decision enhances the integration of the real estate system by unifying the digital services related to real estate documentation processes under a single authority, thereby contributing to improving service efficiency, improving the user experience, and enhancing the reliability of real estate transactions.
He noted that transferring these services from the Ministry of Justice to the General Real Estate Authority helps enhance integration between real estate notarization processes and the real estate registration system, thereby supporting the quality of real estate data, raising levels of transparency and reliability, protect rights, and enhance the efficiency of the regulatory environment for the real estate sector.
Quality of services provided to beneficiaries
His Excellency affirmed that the General Real Estate Authority will work in coordination with the Ministry of Justice and relevant agencies to implement the decision in accordance with a transitional plan that ensures business continuity and maintains the quality of services provided to beneficiaries, while leveraging the advanced digital infrastructure developed by government agencies over the past years.
His Excellency concluded by emphasizing that this decision supports the completion of the real estate system’s development, enhances the integration of digital services, and improves service efficiency and the reliability of transactions, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, and supports the growth and sustainability of the real estate sector.
