Workshop on the Project to Prepare the Regional Plan and Local Plans for the Hail Region

The the Hail Region Development Authority today launched a workshop to review the outputs of the third phase of the project to prepare the regional plan and local plans for the region; with the aim of reviewing the project’s outputs and verifying their alignment with development directions and needs. The workshop, which will last for two days, includes the participation of more than 70 stakeholders involved in the region’s future development.

Workshop Objectives
The workshop aims to review the comprehensive outputs, verify their alignment, draw on the expertise and opinions of partners, and strengthen institutional integration, as well as to build institutional and community support, thereby contributing to the refinement of the project’s outputs and enhancing their readiness for the next phases.

Discussion Topics
The workshop included discussions on a number of key topics, covering an overview of the regional plan and local plans, as well as the environment, heritage, transportation, and regional connectivity, as well as economic development, investment, urban development, social studies, governance, implementation, and capacity building.

The Authority emphasized that the project is being implemented using a participatory approach involving various relevant stakeholders, thereby enhancing the integration of roles, improving the quality of outputs, and ensuring the preparation of a regional plan and local plans that align with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, and contribute to achieving balanced development and the optimal utilization of the resources and potential of the Hail region.
