The the General Real Estate Authority that the deadline for the initial real estate registration of 142 parcels in 12 neighborhoods in the Makkah Region—including 10 neighborhoods in the city of Makkah, and two neighborhoods in the Jeddah Governorate, while the initial real estate registration for 62 parcels in a single neighborhood in the Eastern Province will conclude by the end of Thursday, 30 Safar 1448 AH, corresponding to August 13, 2026 AD.

The Authority stated that the physical registration of real estate will conclude in the following neighborhoods in the city of Makkah: (part of Al-Furqan neighborhood, part of Al-Maqam neighborhood, part of Ja’ranah neighborhood, part of Al-Fath neighborhood, part of Al-Naqa Al-Jadid neighborhood), while registration will end in the following neighborhoods in the Jeddah Governorate: (part of Taybah neighborhood, part of Al-Riyadh neighborhood).

Call for Owners to Register Promptly
The Authority called on owners of properties located within the announced real estate neighborhoods to promptly register their properties through the Land Registry platform (rer.sa) before the registration deadline expires, in order to benefit from services for executing real estate transactions and documenting all changes affecting the property.
It clarified that the Real Estate Registry will issue a "property number" and a title deed for each registered property unit. The new title deed will include the property’s precise geographic location, owner information, property descriptions, condition, associated rights and obligations, and all real estate transactions affecting it; serving as the basis for documenting ownership and the associated real estate rights, thereby contributing to the sustainability and strengthening of the real estate sector and its key drivers.
The Real Estate Authority emphasized that failure to register properties within the period specified in the announcement exposes their owners to the financial penalties set forth in the Real Estate Registration System, as determined by a committee specialized in reviewing violations, and that applications for real estate registration will continue to be accepted in all designated areas even after the registration period specified in the announcement has ended.

It should be noted that the National Company for Real Estate Registration Services (the Real Estate Registry) is responsible for establishing and managing the real estate registry in the Kingdom using geospatial data and modern technologies through an integrated digital platform that contributes to enhancing transparency and confidence in real estate services and data.
