The organizing committee of Hotel Show Saudi Arabia 2016 has announced the Saudi Hospitality Competition, with the awards to be launched on the second day of the fourth annual edition, which takes place in Jeddah from May 17 to 19.

The organizing committee has identified 10 categories for hotel and restaurant representatives from across the Kingdom to focus on, where they will have the opportunity to register individual establishments to apply for awards in one of the following categories: Best Lobby/Lounge, Best Conference and Banquet Facility, Best All-Day Dining Restaurant, Best Hotel Suite, Best Budget Hotel, Best Business Hotel, Best Family Friendly Hotel, Best 4-Star Hotel, 5-Star Hotel, and Best Luxury Hotel.
The organizing committee has set 10 categories for hotel and restaurant representatives from across the Kingdom to focus on.
The organizing committee explained that the details of the awards will be announced by show organizers DMG Events at the Jeddah Hotel Show this month. The winners will be announced at an official ceremony at the 2017 edition of the Hotel Show in Saudi Arabia, following a rigorous judging process.
Christine Davidson, Event Director of DMG Events Middle East, Asia and Africa's hospitality cluster, which includes Hotel Show Saudi Arabia and now the Saudi Hospitality Awards, said: "We have been organizing the Middle East Hotel Awards in Dubai for 5 years now; with each edition, we have seen more and more participants from Saudi Arabia. Last year, our award winners included the impressive Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh."
Christine Davidson added: "Saudi Arabia's hospitality industry is currently diversifying, with inbound tourism expected to be very strong, and Rocco Forte and Nobu are two of the exciting brands set to enter the Middle East market this year in Jeddah and Riyadh respectively. Meanwhile, a host of midscale brands will open properties across the Kingdom in 2016 and 2017, including Accor's Novotel Hotels, Ibis Hotels and Ibis Styles Hotels, with an impressive existing portfolio and pipeline of hotels and restaurants under development.
