Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Health, Mr. Hamad Al-Duwailah, inaugurated the Saudi Health Exhibition and Conference in the presence of ambassadors from 12 participating countries and a large media contingent.

His Excellency expressed his great delight at this occasion and at what he saw at the exhibition, as well as the participation of many Arab and friendly nations, adding: “What I have seen in the exhibition booths makes me proud of this international participation.” He also thanked the supporters of this exhibition and noted that the developments the Ministry of Health is undergoing will, God willing, be in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

His Excellency confirmed that the Ministry of Health is currently undergoing a privatization process, which will be announced soon, God willing. He expressed his hope that this major international exhibition would be met with success and that all efforts would be crowned with success.

The exhibition, organized by Riyadh Exhibitions Company Limited in collaboration with Informa, kicked off at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center under the slogan ”Change Begins at a Point: The Turning Point.“ It will run for three days and is considered the largest healthcare event in the Kingdom.

The exhibition aims to highlight the Kingdom’s healthcare sector, elevate its standards, develop medical and health services, and increase awareness and guidance within the local community, in addition to fostering direct communication with all segments of society across various cultural backgrounds.

The exhibition brings together the public and private sectors at the Kingdom’s largest healthcare event, featuring more than 550 exhibitors from 42 countries and 14 international pavilions, to foster communication, exchange expertise, showcase best practices in the health sector, and present the latest globally recognized technologies and services to more than 19,000 visitors, including decision-makers and specialists in the fields of medicine and healthcare.

The health exhibition is accompanied by 15 scientific conferences discussing various important topics, including nursing, medical engineering, patient safety, primary health care, obstetrics and gynecology, pharmaceutical care, security and safety in medical facilities, emergency medicine, medical engineering, infection control, medical physics, diagnostic radiology, and medical rehabilitation.

The Ministry of Health’s participation in the Saudi Health Expo is significant as it provides an opportunity to showcase its innovative health solutions, introduce visitors to the latest modern health services, and support partnerships with the private sector to drive development in the health sector, elevate it to the highest global standards, and enhance the sense of health security among members of the community.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, Mr. Othman Al-Qasabi, Executive Director of Surgical Services at the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Foundation for Humanitarian Services, Sultan bin Abdulaziz City for Humanitarian Services, said, ” Sultan bin Abdulaziz City for Humanitarian Services is the largest medical complex providing all medical rehabilitation services in the Middle East, and we strive to apply global best practices and the latest technologies in the field of rehabilitation and related surgical interventions.

Dr. Yaqoub bin Yusuf Al-Mazroue, Secretary-General of the Saudi Health Council, emphasized the importance of participating in the Saudi Health Expo, which aims to build relationships and foster collaboration among health experts so they can contribute to facilitating best practices that will lead to the development of healthcare policies and systems.

Dr. Al-Mazrou“ added that the Saudi Health Council’s participation in the Saudi Health Expo is intended to highlight the Kingdom’s strategic healthcare programs and the progress made to date, and he presented the Council’s most significant decisions and key e-health projects, such as the Shared Electronic Health Record, the Saudi Health Data Dictionary, health coding, and statistics from the National Cancer Registry.
