The Islamic Trade Fair set a record as the largest Islamic fair organized over the past 30 years, covering an area of 8,000 square meters, The exhibition, which recently concluded, also featured outstanding pavilions from 39 Islamic countries, with the Saudi pavilion taking first place as the best pavilion at the exhibition, covering an area of 1,200, This marks the third time the Saudi pavilion has won first place at the Islamic Trade Fair, having previously won in Senegal in 2007 and Egypt in 2009. It was followed by the Kingdom of Morocco’s pavilion, which took second place.
Turki Al-Taimi, advisor to the Minister of Commerce and Investment and general supervisor of marketing and communications, expressed his delight that the 15th Islamic Trade Fair in Riyadh was recognized as the largest and best Islamic fair in the past thirty years, as well as the Saudi pavilion winning first place at the fair as the best pavilion among the 39 Islamic countries participating. He extended his thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of this fair and to its presentation in a manner befitting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, He added that we are determined to maintain this level and even improve upon it in a manner consistent with the Kingdom’s regional, Islamic, and international standing. He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to all the national companies that sponsored this exhibition, namely: Jabal Omar Company, the exhibition’s strategic sponsor; Diamond Sponsors Almarai, Saudi Post, and Asir Company; as well as Al-Mamlakah Company, the Saudi Research and Marketing Group, and the Riyadh International Exhibition and Convention Center.
Al-Taimi explained that the exhibition provided business owners and institutions with numerous opportunities for cooperation within the private sector across various fields, such as finding new markets for their products and services, establishing joint ventures, providing financing methods for intra-Islamic trade, identifying opportunities for cooperation in industrial projects, and expanding the horizons of trade exchange among Islamic countries.
It is worth noting that the exhibition was held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and was inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Riyadh Region, amid a diverse array of attendees and participants, including Saudi citizens and members of Arab and Islamic communities.
