The “Conrad Makkah” hotel has begun welcoming guests in an atmosphere of luxury and distinction inspired by the authenticity and modernity of Islamic culture. This is the first hotel for the global Conrad Hotels & Resorts group in Saudi Arabia and the third in the Arab world, following Cairo and Dubai.
Yasser bin Faisal Al-Sharif, CEO of Jabal Omar, expressed his delight at Conrad International’s entry into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through Jabal Omar’s project in Makkah, saying: "The Conrad is the fourth hotel to open in the Jabal Omar project, following the Hilton, Hyatt Regency, and Marriott."
Al-Sharif emphasized that Jabal Omar’s hotels are distinguished by their unique character, exceptional design, and luxurious amenities, which provide guests with a sense of comfort, serenity, and tranquility, inspired by both contemporary and traditional Islamic styles. Meanwhile, Ismail Sari, General Manager of the Conrad Makkah Hotel, explained that the hotel is located less than 100 meters from the Grand Mosque and overlooks the Kaaba, It features 438 rooms, including 62 suites ranging in size from 56 to 247 meters. All of the luxury suites offer a direct view of the Holy Mosque, while the remaining rooms have a partial view of the mosque, and all are connected via audio to the Grand Mosque. He noted that five floors are dedicated to serving and accommodating business travelers and senior executives.
He noted that the Conrad offers a wide range of dining options through its upscale restaurants and explained that a historical sites tour service will be available after the Hajj, noting that this is the first such service offered by a hotel in Makkah, complete with a guide and support in three major languages.
He noted that the Conrad Makkah features a mosque for men and women that can accommodate 1,000 worshippers and is connected via audio to the Grand Mosque. He added that there is a program to train and localize jobs so that 40 percent of the workforce consists of Saudis.
