It is one of the leading urban development projects in the Western Gateway development zone of Makkah and part of a larger master plan aimed at developing the Holy Capital.
All of this comes within the framework of the commitment of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques—may God support him—to make the holiest place on earth and the qibla of Muslims a civilized city that reflects the true value of its Islamic status in the hearts and minds of Muslims through its reconstruction and the establishment of a comprehensive and well-integrated infrastructurewith its current and future needs—for God has made it a safe land to which people come from every far-flung corner.
The Rtaj Suburb project is a residential city with integrated services and facilities, resembling a smart city, designed to provide housing for service sector employees working in the central area of the Grand Mosque, It is strategically located along the highway between the provinces of Makkah and Jeddah, approximately 5 km from the Quran Monument, 18 km from the Grand Mosque, and 55 km from the city of Jeddah.
For his part, Fahd Al-Hashbol, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Diyar Al-Balad, said that the Rtaj Suburb is the first project of its kind in the region, as its design incorporates the latest advancements in architecture and environmentally friendly technology, and an integrated infrastructure that serves as a modern model for contemporary cities. The design was executed with the assistance of the most skilled international consultants, who possess extensive experience in this field.
The project is divided into a number of fully furnished residential areas that meet all the practical needs of their residents while preserving privacy. There is a special area for singles, featuring private and shared rooms, and an area for families, offering independent residential units and villas of, taking into account the lifestyles and social status of the residents.
