The Ministry of Transportation has allowed citizens to work to transport passengers with their own vehicles as part of the activity via smart phone applications operated by one of the Ministry's qualified facilities to provide routing services.
New conditions and procedures governing the work of vehicle routing facilities issued by the Ministry have been clarified.
The new conditions and procedures regulating the work of vehicle guidance facilities issued by the Ministry clarified the regulations and requirements that must be met in the driver and the vehicle, as these applications met with wide popularity, satisfaction and acceptance from citizens and residents, especially in light of the low level of taxi services currently provided, while these applications in obtaining the service at the place and time specified by the passenger and making him a key element in the development and control process by enabling him to evaluate the level of service provided, and also contribute to the process of controlling movement and managing vehicle fleets.
The Ministry of Transport has authorized citizens to work to transport passengers in their own vehicles within the activity.
The Ministry stressed that it seeks to bridge the gap between supply and demand, which is mostly covered by foreign labor, and reduce security cautions by providing citizens with the opportunity to work in this service, as the field will be available to "job seekers, university students, private sector employees, wage item employees, and employees in the government sector" to work in this service at this stage
