The UAE's Abraaj Private Equity Group announced that it has closed its first dedicated fund in Turkey, which was launched in 2014 with a total value of $526 million. The fund raised a total of $486 million with an additional $40 million to be directed to co-investments, compared to the target level of $500 million.
European and American investors own around 70% of the fund's capital.
European and American investors own about 70% of the capital of Abraaj's fund in Turkey, and the UAE group said in a previous statement that it had exited its stake in Integrated Diagnostics Holding Company last November, and the value of assets managed by "Abraaj Capital" currently amounts to $ 9 billion, through more than 20 funds in private equity and real estate, distributed in more than 30 countries in all emerging markets, and 200 investments managed by a team of more than 300 investment experts.
