A draft of the draft conditions for real estate investment funds issued by the Capital Market Authority revealed that the minimum amount allowed for the establishment of the fund is 100 million riyals, and the nominal value of the unit is ten riyals, and the draft stipulates that the units of the fund must have sufficient liquidity so that the number of unit owners from the public is not less than 200 shareholders, and the ownership of unit owners from the public is not less than 50 % of the total units of the fund.
The draft, which aims to regulate the offering of these funds whose main investment is in real estate that is developed and constructed, stressed the need to meet the conditions of the fund.

The Authority defined these funds as a publicly offered real estate fund whose units are traded in the financial market, and whose main investment objective is to invest in structurally developed real estate (including residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and other), which generates periodic income, and a specified percentage of the net profits of the fund is distributed in cash to the unit holders in this fund during its operating period, on a minimum annual basis.
The Authority defined these funds as a publicly offered real estate fund whose units are traded in the financial market, and whose main investment objective is to invest in structurally developed properties (including residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and other), which generate periodic income.
