Huawei, a global leader in the ICT industry, received an investment license to conduct 100% business activity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from His Excellency Dr. Majid Al Qasabi, Minister of Commerce and Investment, as part of the events accompanying the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Crown Prince and Chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs to China.
Huawei received an investment license to conduct 100% business activity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Investment and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, explained that granting Huawei the license came based on the controls and conditions approved by the Council of Ministers to license foreign companies to invest in the wholesale and retail trade sector with 100% ownership, stressing the Ministry of Commerce and Investment's efforts to attract and enable quality investments in promising sectors and stimulate leading international companies in wholesale and retail trade to pump more investments.
For his part, Mr. Ramadan Ding, CEO of Huawei Tech Investment Saudi Arabia, said: "Huawei is proud to operate in the Saudi Arabian market since 1999, where we have launched the latest technology innovations, in addition to supporting young talents and investing in their growth by establishing an ICT competency center."
