«Excellence in Municipal Affairs» conference discusses modern city technology tomorrow under the patronage of Al-Sheikh

The “Excellence in Municipal Affairs” conference, sponsored and inaugurated by M. Abdullatif bin Abdulmalik Al-Sheikh, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, will kick off tomorrow, Thursday, at the Rafal Kempinski Tower Hotel in Riyadh. Abdullatif bin Abdulmalik Al-Sheikh, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, in the presence of Dr. Osama Al-Bar, Governor of the Holy Capital, Dr. Hani Abu Ras, Governor of Jeddah, and M. Fahad Al-Jubeir, governor of the Eastern Province, and M. Mohammed Al-Omari, Mayor of Medina, Dr. Hernani Diaz, Mayor of Bragança, Portugal, and Mr. Olof Zetterberg, CEO of Stockholm Business Regen, and the conference will last for two days.

The conference brings together a number of experts and specialists from inside and outside the Kingdom under one roof to address municipal affairs and the use of modern technology to build the modern city in several themes, dialogue sessions, workshops and some applied studies that are talked about to benefit from previous experiences in this aspect.

Municipal excellence and achieving leadership in municipal transformation through innovation and technology will be discussed in addition to implementing the municipal work strategy in local administrations and building world-class future cities and how to draw the contours of tomorrow's sustainable cities through digital transformation for a number of international and local applied studies.

While the dialogue sessions will be in several themes, the most important of which are measuring municipal excellence and modern methods in providing services, as well as developing municipalities through project information and performance management, the role of public-private partnership in developing innovative cities through municipal management, discussing the relationship between program management, project management and excellence in implementation, in addition to building strong municipal systems through e-government.

While the dialogue sessions will be in several themes, the most important of which are the measurement of municipal excellence and modern methods in providing services.

There will be a closing workshop led by the Global Management and Innovation Institute (GMI) during which the Creative Catalyst Certificate will be presented to all those who attended this conference.
