With a large turnout of local and foreign companies, businesspeople, and those interested in the building, construction, and engineering sectors, the Governor of Riyadh, Engineer Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Sultan, opened the Saudi Construction Exhibition 2016 yesterday evening, Monday. This year’s event was held under the theme “Challenges and Opportunities for Mega Development Projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” at the Riyadh International Exhibition and Convention Center.
During his tour of the exhibition, the Governor of Riyadh expressed his interest in the products presented by the companies, which contribute to reflecting the Kingdom’s cultural image and highlight the economic strength of the construction market, which has kept pace with the urban renaissance the Kingdom is witnessing. At the same time, the 19th Saudi International Stone Technology Exhibition and the 7th International Exhibition for Construction Equipment, Machinery, and Vehicles, which coincide with the Saudi Construction Exhibition. The four-day event showcases the latest products and technologies serving the construction and building sector and contributing to its development.
This year, the exhibition offers an integrated platform bringing together the public and private sectors, with more than 530 local and regional companies from 30 countries participating, and featuring 13 international pavilions, most notably those from: the United States, the United Kingdom, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, the Netherlands, Greece, Germany, and the United Arab Emirates. The aim is to explore opportunities in this vital and sustainable sector, discover the latest innovations, and expand business and investment opportunities both locally and globally.
