Rotana, one of the leading hotel management companies in the Middle East, Africa, South Asia, and Eastern Europe, plans—in line with its strategic plans—to open approximately 16 new hotels in 2017, including: four hotels in Saudi Arabia, five in the United Arab Emirates, two in Turkey and Iraq, as well as Rotana’s first hotel in Muscat, Oman. Next year will also see the completion of expansion work at the group’s iconic property in the UAE, Al Kouf Rotana Resort in Ras Al Khaimah. These openings will add more than 3,750 new rooms to the group’s current portfolio by the end of 2017, bringing the total number of hotels under its operational umbrella to 75, comprising more than 19,450 rooms.
For his part, Omar Kadouri, CEO of Rotana Hotel Management Company, said: “Rotana is pursuing an ambitious global expansion strategy, and the new properties set to open in 2016 and 2017 will not only increase our presence across a wide range of destinations, but will also strengthen our position as a leading group in the hospitality sector across the Middle East, Africa, South Asia, and Eastern Europe.”
