The Kempinski Hotel Group has revealed that its plan to open three hotels in the Kingdom is on track, starting with the anticipated opening of the Kempinski Al Othman Hotel in Al Khobar later this year, which will be the group’s first hotel in the Kingdom. The group will also open the Raffal Tower Hotel in Riyadh—located within the Kingdom’s tallest residential tower—scheduled for mid-2013, and the Kempinski Jeddah Hotel, expected to open in 2014.
This announcement came during Kempinski’s annual regional tour of the area, which is being held this year in Jeddah, Riyadh, and Al Khobar, and includes several countries in the region.
Afsher Koch, Regional Sales Director for the Middle East at the Kempinski Hotel Group, said: «The Kempinski Al-Othman Hotel will be the first Kempinski hotel in the Kingdom, while the Burj Rafal Hotel is an icon in the Kingdom, which is one of the key markets that requires deep attention and understanding.» He added: «Our presence in the region dates back to 1997, when we signed a contract to manage and operate our first hotel in the United Arab Emirates.
