The 30th edition of the Riyadh Auto Show 2016 was a huge success hosted by the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center. The event lasted four days, with the participation of more than sixty international companies, under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport, The exhibition was inaugurated by Eng. Hazloul Al-Hazloul, Undersecretary for Strategic Planning at the Ministry of Transportation. The exhibition was held concurrently with the Saudi Auto Parts Exhibition and the Saudi Sports Vehicles Exhibition.

Global Participation

This year’s Riyadh Auto Show featured a number of launches by major automotive companies in the region, with highlighted more than 10 new and concept cars being showcased for the first time in the region, representing the latest innovations in the global automotive industry. This year’s show featured an impressive lineup of more than 60 global companies representing the world’s most renowned and leading automotive brands, This year’s exhibition was held in conjunction with the Saudi Auto Accessories Show and the Saudi Sports Car Show, offering a range of activities and events for car enthusiasts and fans of the automotive world, as well as showcasing a large number of new, classic, and other vehicles.

The latest models

The exhibition, in its 30th edition the latest models from international and regional automakers and showcased all the latest developments in the automotive world for 2017, This year’s exhibition also took on a new look, featuring for the first time sports vehicle pavilions showcasing a diverse selection of the latest motorcycles; to meet the expectations of many motorcycle enthusiasts, making the show a must-visit destination for fans of engines, vehicles, automotive and motorcycle supplies, spare parts, and the latest automotive accessories.

The Riyadh Motor Show has established itself on the international exhibition calendar, highlighting the importance of this global industry in the Middle East, as the show’s growth and international acceptance serve as a barometer of the international automotive community’s view of the Kingdom, reflected in the strong presence of leading global companies in this sector.

Exhibition Sections

The exhibition was divided into three main sections: the Riyadh Auto Show, featuring new and modified car models, spare parts, and automotive accessories; the Saudi Sports Vehicles Exhibition, which is one of the largest gatherings of motorcycle riders and exhibitors in the Kingdom; and the Saudi Automotive Supplies Exhibition, which brought together a group of the largest spare parts suppliers and service providers to offer the widest range of automotive supplies.

Huge Turnout

In its previous edition, the exhibition witnessed a huge turnout from the public across all demographics, as it is considered the most prestigious event bringing together automotive enthusiasts in the Middle East—an annual highlight eagerly anticipated by buyers to view the latest models offered by major manufacturers worldwide. In its previous edition, the exhibition attracted tens of thousands of visitors, who were treated to the latest technological advancements in creative designs and comfort and entertainment features, in a one-of-a-kind, eye-catching display. Adding to the exhibition’s splendor was the sight of luxury cars that have come to dominate the Kingdom’s streets.
