This summer, the Rosewood Group’s Al Faisaliah Hotel will open its new wing, designed around three key concepts: modernity, elegance, and cutting-edge technology.
Designed by Her Highness Princess Al-Anoud bint Khalid Al Saud, owner and founder of Al-Dar Design, the new wing gives Al Faisaliah Hotel a fresh, modern look with its bright colors and Arabic touches that reflect Islamic heritage.
The new wing, which serves as an extension of the existing hotel building owned by Al Khazama Management Company, will feature 106 rooms and suites, a luxurious wellness center exclusively for women, and a new restaurant, “La Cucina,” serving distinctive dishes from the Mediterranean region.
Her Highness Princess Al-Anoud spoke about her ideas and sources of inspiration for the new wing’s design, saying: “Many of the hotels we see in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are characterized by elegant designs, but they are essentially traditional in nature. Al Faisaliah Hotel is considered the pinnacle of sophisticated and elegant design, but with this new suite, we wanted to add more uniqueness and modernity by incorporating international hotel designs and blending them with distinctive Arabic design elements to give it an Arab cultural dimension.”
She added: “We selected modern Art Deco , Ottoman Iznik ceramic motifs, and Arabic calligraphy—which represents Arab and Islamic art—were carefully selected. We also used and blended vibrant colors to infuse a sense of joy and playfulness throughout the suite’s corridors.”
For his part, Mr. Peter Finamore, General Manager of Al Faisaliah Hotel, said: ”In line with Al Faisaliah Hotel’s mission to offer the best in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as we approach the hotel’s tenth anniversary, we were keen to present our esteemed guests with the new suite, which represents a quantum leap in terms of design, comfort, and luxury.”
He added: ”The new rooms and suites will be the largest hotel units in the Kingdom to date, and we will also offer the Kingdom’s first suite featuring a fully integrated spa designed specifically for guests seeking relaxation and rejuvenation in complete privacy.“
