The phenomenon of encroachment on government land has remained a persistent concern for regional municipalities, with various methods of encroachment involving the concealment of land boundaries. The Medina Municipal Authority removed encroachments on unallocated government land adjacent to a residential development within the Al-Baida municipality, covering a total area exceeding 11,000 square meters.
In this regard, Mayor Majid Al-Qarafi stated that a number of unidentified individuals had encroached on the site, subdivided it, and altered the land’s boundaries by placing fences, barrels, concrete blocks, and earthen mounds, noting that specialists had inspected the site in cooperation with security patrols and removed all the aforementioned encroachments. He urged citizens not to purchase land from sellers offering fictitious plots and to report any encroachments on government land by calling the unified operations number (940)
