Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Governor of the Makkah Region, announced the start of implementation of the New Taif projects, which include Taif International Airport, the development of Okaz Market, the Technology Oasis, housing, the industrial city, and other Technology Oasis projects.

The project will be built on an area of 1,250 square kilometers and will accommodate approximately 750,000 residents.The Ministry of Housing’s project in New Taif, covering an area of 12 million square meters, has been launched, with a total of 10,589 housing units, comprising 6,670 villas and 3,919 apartments, in addition to 36 kindergartens, 28 schools, 37 mosques, 8 grand mosques, and a courtyard for Eid prayers.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Housing, through its “Wafi” off-plan sale and lease program, announced an extension of the deadline for submitting applications for the second batch of 2017 projects.

The Ministry had previously clarified that to obtain the terms and specifications brochure for each project, a certified, non-refundable check in the amount of 15,000 riyals must be submitted, made out to the Off-Plan Sale or Lease Committee, or deposited into the committee’s account at Banque de France, along with proof of payment (payment receipt) and a notarized power of attorney from the Chamber of Commerce authorizing the pickup of the brochure at the committee’s headquarters at the Ministry of Housing.
