The off-plan sales and leasing program, one of the initiatives of the Ministry of Housing, represented by its engineering department, recently conducted visits to a number of projects licensed by the program being implemented in the cities of Riyadh and Jeddah, during which the status of these projects was identified during these visits and the progress of work progress during the past period.

The tour included Wafi's visit to 22 projects with 18425 licensed residential units to directly monitor and hold several meetings with the consulting offices supervising these projects, explain the follow-up mechanisms to the engineering department and ways of joint cooperation between these offices and the program, as well as emphasize the requirements and obligations introduced as “qualifying engineering offices” to supervise off-plan sales and rental projects and find all solutions to the difficulties that hinder the work of the developers of these projects.

It is noteworthy that the Off-plan Sale or Leasing Committee is the government body authorized by law to license and regulate off-plan sales projects by Cabinet Resolution No. 536 dated 4/12/1437 AH, which aims to provide housing units to citizens at appropriate prices and easy payments, and achieve for real estate developers a safe investment that contributes to increasing the supply of housing units.
