As part of the effort to transform and develop mountainous areas for tourism, the Higher Committee for the Development of Taif Province has proposed two projects to build a five-star hotel and resort, as well as tourist camps and recreational activities, as the first phase of the Al-Hada and Al-Shafa National Park project (Corniche Al-Sahab), noting that this will be followed by the Environmental Visitor Center project.

The project aims to provide lodging and services for pilgrims and Umrah performers, an agricultural processing center, a health center for rehabilitation and treatment, and a visitor center, respectively. Work is underway to develop a rural-style mountain tourist destination along the corridor stretching between Al-Hada and Al-Shafa, in partnership with a number of experienced developers and investors from the private sector.
