“Housing”: Jeddah begins issuing invoices for white land fees

The Ministry of Housing has started issuing invoices for white land fees in the city of Jeddah, with 490 invoices for 374 lands subject to the system, with a total area of more than 120 million square meters.

The Ministry announced that this figure may change by increasing or decreasing following the objection, for which the system set a period of 60 days from the issuance of the decision to subject the land to the fees, or after development within a maximum period of 12 months, and the Ministry is currently sorting the lands that were registered after 3/13/1438 AH, in addition to counting and finding violators of the provisions of the system and regulations who have not registered their lands so far.

The General Supervisor of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development said that the Ministry is currently working on registering the lands that have been registered after 3/13/1438 AH. The General Supervisor of the White Land Fees Program, Engineer Mohammed Al-Mudayyhem, explained that the evaluation procedures for the lands registered on the website have been completed by the “Land Values Assessment” committee, indicating that the invoices for Dammam will be announced next week, while he confirmed that the process of sorting the registered lands showed that some of them are not subject to the system for several reasons, including their location outside the targeted area, some of them are less than the specified area, some are in cities not yet determined, and some have statutory exceptions as defined by the regulation.
