The Riyadh City Development Authority’s meeting approved a number of important plans and projects for the residents of Riyadh, and reviewed the progress of the Riyadh Metro project, which is now 54 % complete. The project is proceeding smoothly, in accordance with its established timeline, and has already overcome its most challenging phases.
This was stated by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh and Chairman of the Riyadh Development Authority, following the meeting, noting that the meeting also reviewed the results of a survey on residents" satisfaction with the quality of life in Riyadh, which revealed a high level of satisfaction with the city’s quality of life.
For his part, His Excellency Engineer Ibrahim bin Muhammad Al-Sultan, a member of the Riyadh Development Authority and head of the Authority’s Projects and Planning Center, explained that the meeting reviewed the results of a survey on residents» satisfaction with the quality of life in Riyadh, which was prepared by the Authority. The study showed that 76 % of those surveyed considered that the quality of life in Riyadh “has become better than it was five years ago” and that they were highly satisfied with their lives, while 88 % of residents indicated that they were confident in their future and expected the best over the next five years, God willing. Among the reasons for this result was the residents’ increased sense of confidence and optimism following the launch of (Saudi Vision 2030).
