In the presence of Princess Munira bint Khalid and sponsored by the Entertainment Authority Fashion Expo 2017 showcases its events in Riyadh

Under the patronage and in the presence of Her Highness Princess Munira bint Khalid bin Abdullah Al Saud, the largest event in the fashion world, ”Fashion Expo“ 1 and its accompanying exhibition, which took place at the InterContinental Hotel in the capital, Riyadh, and will continue through May 25.

The opening ceremony saw a large turnout and distinguished attendance by leading businesswomen for the first fashion show, which featured the latest designs from various participating Saudi, Gulf, and Arab fashion houses. Artist Buthaina Al-Ra’isi was the guest of honor.

The shows began with a presentation of the Montiana collection, which features a wide and distinctive range of Ramadan dresses designed for this month’s occasions and gatherings.

This was followed by the fashion show of Azerbaijani designer Qunai Hafiz, who presented numerous evening gown and special-occasion designs that blended Eastern and Western influences in a way that captivated the audience.

The third show was by Jordanian designer Laith Maalouf, who presented his Summer 2017 collection, titled ”The Hidden Garden.“ He used a mix of diverse colors—ranging from pastels to red, silver, and black—and incorporated lace, jibir hand-embroidered fabric, and sequins, and the collection included both short and long dresses.

As for the shows on the second day, according to a statement by Ms. Ibtihal Al-Mushayqih, chairwoman of the exhibition’s Women’s Committee, they were distinctly Saudi, with Saudi artist and star Waad serving as the guest of honor. She will present her ”Waad Line“ boutique collection ”Waad Line”—the first show featuring a number of distinctive designs, followed by a second show by Saudi designer Najla Al-Kridis featuring her distinctive “Sama Collection,” then a show by another Saudi designer, Huda Al-Rabiah, and finally, the closing show with the “HR Sister Fashion” collection As for the accompanying exhibition, it saw an unprecedented turnout, as the organizing committee was keen to create a distinctive atmosphere for participating entities through a wide selection of international brands of perfumes, jewelry, watches, and accessories, as well as a large number of promising Saudi projects by young men and women from this country across various fields of the fashion industry. Ample space was allocated for these participants, whose work garnered praise from visitors.
